Rollcage - Review

Intro

Rollcage is a great racing game with lots of adrenaline. The game is based on cars that can drive even after turned upside down. It has many drivers and cars to choose from. The cars can reach high speed and can become difficult to controle them. The cars can flip and spin because they are identical in the top and bottom.

Graphics - 8/10

RollCage has very good graphics with a destructive scenario. You can destroy the buildings with weapons (that you catch in the race). The cars however aren't that detailed. In the car selection screen they look very good, but in the race they aren't detailed. When the car reaches full speed, it doesn't look bad. It looks almost realistic. It is very fun to launch the missiles, destroy the levels and see the fire (that can help killing opponents). The poor details in the cars are compensated for the beautiful track details.

Sound - 8/10

The sound is very good. It has good sound without many glitches. You can hear the sound of the missiles and other details. It features cool music in the beginning (in the intro movie). However, it doesn't have music for the races.

Durability - 8/10

RollCage has 3 leagues:Gemini, Scorpio and Taurus. The modes are: League, Arcade, Time Attack, Multiplayer (Network and Single Computer) and Practice. In the League mode you can also choose the number of laps and the difficulty level. The game features many tracks (15 tracks and 4 zones):
Neoto - Park Life, Cross Over and Flood Zone.
Harpoon - Paradise, Daytona, Smugglers, Road Works and Super
Bowl.
Saphire - G-Force, Area 52 and Skid Pan.
Outworld - Contact, Frontier, Eruption, After Shock.
It also have some Extras: Mirror Mode, Neoto Deathmatch, Harpoon Deathmatch, Saphire Deathmatch and Outworld Deathmatch.
This game features cool cars too with their special attributes: covering grip, strength, speed, acceleration.

Fun - 9/10

This game is very cool and fun. It is great to drive at extreme speed (more than 300 mph or 500 kph) and hit the opponents with missiles and other stuff. With the high speed you can even drive up to rounded tunnel walls and ceiling. If you want to overtake an opponent you can launch a power-up such as turbo boosts or missiles, or even destroy a building in a strategic point to burn your enemies into flames and stop the other vehicles.

Gameplay - 8/10

When you reach high speed in RollCage the car can become very difficult to control. However, with some practice you can become a good racer and control better the cars. Gameplay has many features such as watching the other cars in a window on the side of the screen and having turbo boosts in the beginning of the race (you need the correct timing to use the turbo boost). You can drive in different camera angles.

Overall - 8.2/10

Overall the game is very good. It has very good fun, gameplay, graphics, sound and durability. RollCage is a great and cool racing game with lots of action and speed. It is difficult to say all the things that are cool in this game. It is super fun and it will keep you playing for a lot of time.
