This is the game from which I learned how to play chess. I also played it in my grade 5 class on a Commodore 64, as well as at home on my IBM286. I would still play this over any modern day computer chess game.

i cant get the sound to work =[ it says something like needs to run in a different mode but i dont know how to change the mode

I still remember when I first saw this on the PI computers at school everytime teacher was away we started to play, not because of we were chess freak but because of those nice animations when moving an destroying your enemy it was great

My old man was big into chess being european and I remember being a kid laughing my head off at the chess piece death moves. What a great old game.
