Graphics:
The graphics really aren't bad at all. All characters and scenery are hand drawn and animated, which gives the game a lot of personality. If you're the type that likes the 3-D imagery and computer graphics, then the graphic design for this game is probably not for you. But, if you are like me, you will fall instantly in love with the personification the tooney-ness gives each object and character. This game is strictly cartoon and although the scenery is slightly pixelated, (which when I am playing through it, does not bother me,) the charm and personality of each character and movement is definitely worth playing through.
Gameplay:
Torin's Passage is probably the funniest and wittiest game I remember from my childhood. There are so many parts that I remember well that I laughed out loud to, all original and pop culture reference jokes that sparked laughter for the player and all entertained by watching. The actual gameplay is similar to the King's Quest games, most specifically KQVII. It is, after all, made by Sierra, just like the KQ games. But, rather than a type-in control like in KQ I-VI, it is more similar to KQVII where you basically point and click to command Torin through his adventure. There are many challenging puzzles as well as easier ones, that really anyone of any age can enjoy.
Music/Voices:
The music for this game is pleasant and fair quality, but as for the style you can definitely tell it's from the early 90's. However, I think the music is perfect for the game, 90's style or not. The characters are played by voice actors, so instead of reading a text throughout the game, you can listen to their voices as they tell the story. Overall, the music/voices is very good for this game.
Conclusion:
Torin's Passage is definitely a game I remember fondly. It is definitely one of Sierra's best games, which unfortunately, is not very popular. However, I don't know if I've ever heard a single negative comment about this game, and I'm sure if it 'got out into the crowd' it would definitely have been one of the best-selling games of its time, much like it is now!

I spent many, many quality hours playing this game with my grandson, who is now 17 years old. This was one of Sierra Onlines very best! As a matter of fact, he asked me for the game a year ago and remembers our time with Torin fondly.
