In this futuristic Epic story, mankind is engaged in a relentless combat against an alien race called "Kilrathi". These "cat" like humanoid creatures are living only for one purpose : Dominion of all living things throughout the universe. In this third episode of the Wing Commander saga, you are once again Christopher Blair (played by Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill please), a squad commander who've been fighting the Kilrathi for more than fifteen years. It's alas, very dark days for the human confederation : the long war have rendered them weak against the mighty Kilrathi Empire, which seems indestructible and invincible, probably due to their cruelty and ruthless techniques of war. And defeat seems imminent, and the only thing that stays between the Kilrathi and defeat, is you and your squadron.
This episode have outstanding in game graphics in complete 3d (for the fisrt time in the series). And we can interact with the whole crew and other caracters during the game, with full motion video cutscenes. The game is four cd long. So you will face all kinds of events in the scenario : treason, victory, defeat, lost friends and loves and many more. By the way, you can choose the way you can answer to the other caracters during the cutscenes, and your choices can affect the scenario (crew morale, friendship with your crew or superior, and even a love story). In addition to that, according to your success during missions, you determine how the story will carry on. One bad result during an important mission can affect the whole story and end up in many different ways.
In brief, I can say that this game is a must. The story is wonderful and the gameplay flawless, plus we got very good graphics and music. What can I say more : Perfect
