This is a little late in response to this, but QFGIV was immensely buggy. There are several spots where the game crashes every time. To get past those places, turn the speed all the way up and the quality all the way down. That usually fixes it for some reason.

It always crashed in one point and i couldnt go further in the game, anyone who had the same trouble?
