This was my first PC game! fantastic memories come back to life . Well this game was already six years old but in that time most games still look like toilet paper, I mean acceptable but not for a long long time. Grand Prix Circuit is another racing game, it doesn't have SoundBlaster support but what do you want this game is already 15 years old, so this is really something to call a classic game. Grand Prix Circuit supports 16 color CGA/EGA and Hercules, very modern for its age. In the end I have to say that this game looks pretty good for 1988.

The idea behind this game is like the name already says, another Grand Prix simulator, and that's true, official Formula 1 tracks are available for racing, I always prefer the track in Germany, Hockenheim. Every track has another background, this was very original in 1988 so I won't complain about it. Another important thing is the gameplay, well I think it's good, the music sounds pretty good for beeper sounds so that's also good.

I think Accolade did a great job when they developed this game, I played it for many hours, this was also because I only had one game but when you don't look at that point I'm sure that this game is also great when you played many other racing games before, like Lotus, Stunts, Test Drive, etc.

Before you start your race you can choose between three Formula one cars, I always took the Ferrari but when you look at the screens you can see that I also used other cars when I took the screenshots, that's only to give you a better impression what this game is about and looks like.

When you like old racing games this is really a great racing game but when you think games like Test Drive 4 or Need For Speed 2 look ugly then I want to confess you NOT to download this game unless it's a great game for 1988.
