One of the best old adventure games ever. It will keep an average person hooked for decades! It takes an IQ of about 119 to complete this game quickly, so it's not for people who failed school. You also need to know your JR Tolkien as well to stand any chance of completing it.

The story goes as follows. Hugo's girlfriend, Penelope, is kidnapped by some evil being that look somewhat like the Munsters. Hugo, being the brave chap he is decides to go forth and rescue his dear girlfriend. He arrives the house of horrors where the player has to cunningly find a way into the house. Highlights of the game are outwitting a man eating dog, talking to a green blob type monster that looks a bit like a genie, and talking to a old man!

Plus points of this game are the fact that it is incredibly addictive, and the story behind the game isn't bad.

However, the graphics are extremely poor. But this can be expected for such an old game. The sound is quite cool for its age though.

The game is very gory, especially when you die, it will give Mortal Kombat a good run for its money! Therefore i recommend only gamers over the age of 45 play this game.

If you have a lot of spare time or if you are on the dole, in which case you will have a lot of spare time, this game can waste most of it, and leave with a strange feeling of satisfaction that you managed to out wit a mummy in a cave beneath a house.
