If the sound is still crappy under dosbox, check out the settings in the file dosbox.conf. if you use soundblaster see if the IRQ and DMA match with the game settings.

works well in scumm vm or dosbox. There are problems with the sound under if you run this under windows.

And speaking of the sequel, I remember seeing a copy of it in a game shop years ago. But it was a 3D version and not a point-&-click.
