(Previous comment below Sorry got it - only save in a Port .... ) Its such a fun easy - yet complicated game ..... I recommend this to anyone who likes old-school games ... meet and seduce barmaids, ransom pirate captains, get married, become a baron ... loot towns .... its all there :-)

Its really a neat little game - played a lot when it 1st came out ... but you know disks get lost :-) .... anyway I got it working but I cannot save games - as I remember its in the Capt's cabin - and I think thta complies with the manual - but the chest of draws seems closed - Im playing under native dos - using a diskette boot - not xp or or 98 ...

hey i am having a prob playing this game! it makes it to the main menu then shuts down and displays the following message. The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:32e IP:0000 OP:ff 3f 1f ff Choose close to terminate.

Any help would be great.

The reason why your cannons disappear is in battle you lose them as a loss of crew or cannons Stripe25!. And as for the direction problems rememer if you sail is up or down and wind direction, Hope this helps!!!!.....
