Game review

Super Street Fighter 2 was a pretty good SNES game, but the PC conversion is a big mess.
GRAPHICS - 46%
A normal PC from 1994 is made for 320x240 or 640x480 resolutions, not for 256x186 (typical SNES resolution), so the graphics are looking truly bad. When I bought the game, back to 1995, I thought the game will look like the Arcade-version, but then I saw this,.. I got little eye-disease.
SOUND - 57%
the sound effects are pretty good, almost better than those of the SNES version, but the music is terrible. Actually I think a good 1994 made PC-game should have a MOD or CD-AUDIO music, but MIDI? Well if it sounds good, like in the Apogee and ID Software games, but that is incredible bad.
GAMEPLAY - 23%
If you have a gamepad, the gameplay should be pretty OK, but with a keyboard, the game is almost impossible to control and it´s really difficult to change something there, it´s hard to understand the Control-options, maybe because they´re partly in Japanese.
CONCLUSION
If you want to play a good Super Street Fighter PC-game, you might download Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, it has much better graphics, a better gameplay and much better sounds.

Same fighter match:
Pause game play in two player mode and type 7kids. The border will flash to confirm correct code entry. Quit the current match and restart the game in two player mode to get the ability for both players to select the same character. Invincibility: Start a one player game, highlight Blanka at the character selection screen, and slowly type patience. The border will flash yellow to confirm correct code entry. Select a fighter and press [F10] during the match to restore your energy. |

MIDI tracks don't have drums. Neil Baldwin can do better than those ruffians.
