Company information
Apogee
|
Company description
In the beginning Apogee started as a "shareware" marketing company but later on they started releasing full titles too. A reason why Apogee became very popular
is because they always included skill levels and save/load game options to their games, both options where very rare in the late 80's and early 90's. In 1994
Apogee launched a new devision called "3D Realms Entertainment", they did this as a division solely focused on the quickly growing 3D action gaming market. In
November 1996 Apogee released their last game, titled Stargunner, unless they didn't release any games since 1996 they are still alive.
